The purpose of this festival is to bring the Detroit Metropolitan community together for a weekend of fun, music, fellowship and to support the construction of the Mariam Center Project. The past success of the festival has helped the Basilica of St. Mary to purchase five and a half acres on festival grounds upon which the proposed Mariam Center project, (a retirement and assisted living community) will be constructed. The Michigan Fun Fest will be partnering with local organizations and educational institutions, so the festival will truly benefit the entire community.

The Festival will take place on Merriman Road, between Six and Seven Mile. It will feature exciting entertainment that includes over 20 thrilling carnival rides, a casino, live music and over 20 vendors featuring food booths with fresh exotic foods. It will be enjoyable for the entire family!

The Festival is a cultural celebration that ties our neighboring cities together by offering an experience that is like no other in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. It is estimated that over 20, 000 people attended the festival last year.
